These are tablets that treat gout attacks and Behçet’s disease.
Colchicine(Kolzine)500mcg Tablets 100’s:
- They also prevent pericarditis and familial Mediterranean fever.
- Cochicine works well by decreasing swelling and lessening the build up of uric acid crystals.
- These are the crystals that cause pain in the affected joint.
- Colchicine is a medicine for treating inflammation and pain. It can be used to: treat flare-ups (attacks) of gout. prevent increased flare-ups of gout when you first start on a medicine like allopurinol – taken to manage your condition long term
Also, after receiving the medicine by injection for an attack, do not take any more colchicine (tablets or injection) for at least 7 days. Elderly patients may have to wait even longer between treatments and should check with their doctor for directions
